Overview

Naas Racecourse

The redevelopment included the construction of a new two story pavilion bar and restaurant with a raised viewing terrace. This new cylindrical feature building, aptly called ‘The Circle’, provides wrap around views over the track and parade ring, with café / bar facilities on the ground floor, and an owners & trainers lounge on the 1st floor.

The existing self-service restaurant was partially demolished, with the remaining space renovated for change of use as offices and a drop-in childcare center.

The existing steel roof over the north stand was replaced with a new lightweight roof structure, along with upgrade works to the terrace building, parade ring and stables.

The project also included for the installation of an emergency back-up generator, extensive site-works including general landscape improvement works.

Partly funded by the Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) Racecourse Capital Development Scheme, the existing racecourse remaining fully operational during the course of works
