Overview
Central Plaza comprises the redevelopment of the iconic Central Bank Building on Dublin’s Dame Street, along with ancillary buildings at No 6-9 College Green, and Annex & Commercial building. The redevelopment will provide new retail/ commercial space, restaurants, and offices, with an overall development area of approximately 250,000 sq.ft.
The re-development restores the tower’s unique structure, which is capped with a stunning glazed rooftop venue, providing 15,500 sq ft of hospitality space and panoramic views over Dublin City.
A new plaza area is created at street level with units for retail, cafes and restaurants, and sub-plaza level is now accessed via a new external glazed twin-lift core and reconfigure feature staircases.
The sustainable adaptive reuse of this iconic city centre building resulted in a significant reduction in carbon emissions. Retaining the original structure and façade of the building resulted in a saving of 10,000 tonnes of carbon on this LEED Gold Building.
