2 Windmill Lane (2WML) comprises the re-development of an existing five-storey building over a single-level basement within the Windmill Quarter of SOBO. The works generally include the refurbishment of the existing Hanover Building and addition of an additional storey (fifth floor), to provide prime Grade A office accommodation.
The basement includes new staff shower/change facilities and new bicycle storage, with ground floor providing a gymnasium and a new double height reception/foyer entrance. The first, second, third and fourth floors remain as office space with external terraces/courtyards infilled to create additional internal floor area.
The addition of a fifth floor provides new office space with a glazed facade to the north, south and east elevations. The entire mechanical and electrical services are replaced. All existing toilets, stairs & lobbies are refurbished. New passenger lifts will be provided serving all floors. The existing north and south facades are upgraded and new windows provided to the existing west facade and east facade.
